History
Since the development of the Windsor Hills Shopping Center in 1959, the Windsor Area has been known as one of OKC's best destinations for shopping, dining and entertainment. For over half a century, many changes have taken place at the shopping center and in the corridor. Today, great things are underway. The NW 23rd Street West Corridor in The Windsor District is in the final stages of a $13.2million streetscape revitalization project. The Windsor District is working with the City's Planning Department in a Focus Area Study based on Plan OKC as a guide in transforming the business corridor and the neighborhoods it serves. New construction is happening alongside makeovers and renovations, as businesses are taking stock in the community. International influences are on the rise as the area is teaming with businesses catering to the many diverse ethnicities in the surrounding neighborhoods
